Adult with a Willet (Catoptrophorus semipalmatus; to right in photo B) at Waterloo, Trinidad, 12 November 2000. Photos © by Floyd Hayes. Although there are numerous sight records from T&T, this represents the first documented record. This elusive bird was present from 7 September 2000 to 6 January 2001. Note the long, bicolored, upturned bill and cinnamon tones, which distinguish it from other potential godwit species and the Willet. | |||||||||||||||||
